Almacelles has to be
considered as an excellent crossroads
and one of the best communicated towns
in its area. There’s just 19 km
to the north-west way from its department
capital, Lleida; and it’s crossed
by N-240 road which goes towards Huesca
(another department capital) which it’s
only 97 Km from Almacelles.
Another important communication ways
are
the L-902 road, which goes from Almacelles
to Alfarràs (16 Km), where you
can take the N-230 road which goes
towards Vielha and the Aran Valley (Pyrenees),
and the A-148 road, from
Tarrega to Binéfar, going through
Balaguer and Tamarit de Llitera.
Another one is the L-800 road, which
goes to Sucs (4 Km), Gimenells (10 Km)
and Alcarras, which connects you with
the A-2 motorway and the highway to
Zaragoza and Madrid.
In 1999 it has been opened the Almacelles north ring-road and
now it’s going to be built the Lleida-Huesca motorway which will
pass by Almacelles and also it will approach both cities to
Almacelles. It’s important too the next Lleida airport location,
near Almacelles (6 Km), and well connected with this town, the
Lleida-Huesca and Aran Valley motorways and the railway
which goes from Lleida and Barcelona to Zaragoza and Madrid.
